Ebay item in the States question!

GR7

Car  Shiny red R32
There's an item on ebay I'd like to try and buy for my friend and I've never bought from the States before so as it is in dollars, do I type my bid as 6.06 or whatever and should I win, do paypal sort the different currencies out?

Thanks

i think they exchange monies between the currencys and charge you for the pleasure of doing so.

pretty sure its a small % or a flat rate of around £2- £3.

lol. i would. Ive never used paypal to purchase from abroad before, but i imagine they do what most credit cards do and automatically convert the amount you pay to dollars, thus you end up paying less (in terms of £) as the pound is stronger than the dollar.

They work it out for you, when you put in the bid say $6.00 it'll have (£3.00 or so) by the amount, you then click on confirm bid etc.

if it's expensive watch out for customs/RM charges.
