ECU Re-Map, Where?

I wanna get my ecu re-mapped as im due for a de-cat soon so want to re-map the ecu to make use of it, where are the best places to go and where are they based?, im in South Wales, cheers

The best person to ask is pmurray on the forum.

But try www.yozzasport.co.uk (they don't remap, but might know someone local to you). www.bbpt.com (bit far I know). K-tec Racing and GDI. But the two address I highly recommend for anything including advice over the phone.....

stan is the inlet manifold hard to change over on a 172?? do your modified ones go ok with an induction kit?

I take it the ailliagnment is where the extra power comes from with one of those inlets?

^Matching...Does make it smoother. Esp on idle! Power gains vary. 5bhp roughly. Depending on how bad the inlets and plenium were before hand.

Paul @ RStuning is good. Had mine done about 6months ago. Happy with the results.

150 on modified inlets

110 on a decat

250 ish on a re-map

Polishing them cosmetically isnt something I personally I can do, however theres a chap local to me that could.

Torque is what you gain...thats what makes you FEEL the difference.

Mine does feel alot better after Stan did my manifold. Need it remapped though as it idles high.

there is a bloke in llantrisant or Ponty (I forget) called Total Tuning - does Group N remap and can take into account any mods you have had done - give him a ring for a price - by the time we drive to Leeds including petrol, food etc your looking well over £300 for remap. The price I was quoted from Total Tuning was approx half that! I reckon its worth a try - hes had good feedback from one of the other tuners on the forum.

I think they are in Ponty Tim...ive no experience of them however.

Pauls mapping is proven...thats the main thing.
