ECU / Super Unleaded

Brought my 172 2 months ago "Import". Now:

Question 1: Inside the filler cap it states 98ron "Is this the case for UK 172s".

Question 2: From day 1 -> 800 miles Ive been running the car on std unleaded, I now run the car on Super "Ultimate or Optimax". Will the ECU need reseting as I have put unleaded in for the first 800 miles, as apposed to its prefered choice.

Cheers...

thats what the ECU is there for......... to process and adjust engine bits to run best it can....

ie it wont chuck a load more fuel in that it doesnt need....

ECU will detect knock etc and adjust the timing no need to worry about it

I woundered about this, say if i run it on optimax and then switch to reg unleaded the ecu would then reduce the timing, but if i then switch back to optimax would it advance again it again?
