Ecu wiring snapped important?

Bought a sport engine from Steve last weekend, and recently wiggled the engine round to the other side to find this:

To me it looks like the Ecu cable been snipped off, as Ecu needs 2 connectors right?

Oh dear good luck with that. Either a lot of time with the soldering iron and heat shrink, if you can get the ECU connector off him, or just get another engine bay wireing loom.

Thing is Cliocc, i have the ecu & when i went at the loom yesturday theres a big plug onit, which connected straigh onto the ECU,

so the question is, what does them wires that been snipped do ?

if you want sunday meet me at abergavenny and ill try my best to label up the loom etc in my house for when we do the swap

nice socks....looks like the interior loom connecter. if my guess is correct it normally goes up from the battery/fuse box up behind the washer wiper bay and into the inside of the car, it normally has a connector on it which u plug the interior loom directly into.

im with dean. The ECu has ONE big Plug on it mate

dean is that the huge fook off plug? iirc the wire is slimmer for that?

2nd that it could be the ECU plus as its very close to the 02 sensor plug that you can see to the bottom right of the pix..... do you have a squre rubber boot plug?? or a long thing on that looks liek it will go onto the ecu?


Id persnaly get a new loom as thats going to be a pain in the ass

right ok, in the white bag in the pic thats the ECU plug, as i took it out last night and it fitted straight on no problem,

If its the UCH then im f**ked tbh, iv payed to get the Engine and body loom from steve, and when i picked the engine up i had 2 sets of loom, 1 was so big it had to be the body loom, then there was this:

(top right couple of wires not connected to the big one)
Does this also go into the engin bay im guessin? as it had a big massive square plug which connected the inside to the body loom?
