Bought discs and pads all round for the 172 today, fitted this afternoon.

If like me your looking to do it on the cheap, Eicher brakes are for you. £100 for all pads and discs and bearings...!

All from Euro Car Parts. Seem quite good aswell! If your after cheap this is budgie.

I went a run over the back roads mate (30 mile) albeit they're not exactly bed in properly, good enough mate. I just needed brakes asap and on a budget. The motor was £800 you can see why im no wanting to buy Fredo shite and the like lol

Are these any different to the mintex pads you can get? Ive just reserved a set at my local euro car parts store, much cheaper than anywhere else!

Not sure mate! They're okay for what i paid, not many places offer discs pads and rear bearings for under £100!

If you guys think £100 is cheap i would be able to get them for a 1/4 of the price but i agree that i would not fit the rears as the bearings would be rubbish, you would be better with chocolate.

Good brakes are important on a hot hatch, the euros pads squeal like feck and bearings have already been mentioned

Aye and they slow it down from 130 just the same as the brembo's did on my 182.

Im not in the buisness of spending 25% of the cars value on brakes.
