Was talking to a mechanic about the 172/182 conversion im putting into my 2001 1.2 16v. He said that if I have electric steering i have a no-go as far as the conversion is concerned. Had a look throught the threads but no mention of this problem, anyone got any clues?
I dont know how the system works, but all i know is all mk2 abs units are standalone and the electric rack pulgs into it somewhere for the varriable assist reading. Im doing it on a valver so alot different and i dont have abs. Fred will know more than I do.
Do a serach for a post I started a whilse back on doiung the conversion tells you what wires you need you just use the ABS system as a stand alone for the brakes (if you want) and that feeds the signal to your radio and stearing rack.
