Electrical Failure light NIGHTMARE !!!

My 1.2 is due for a MOT anytime now but the electrical failure light keeps coming on the dash board and once its on and you dont keep the revs up the car will just stall and the light comes on every 2-4 minutes mostly when im just about to stop at traffic lights etc and its a nightmare ... anyone any ideas before i put it threw the MOT and see whats up with it ? i am guessin the ecu is fooked and ive been searchin online for solutions but everyones gettin diffreint results ! thanks <3

Could be any of a few things so really needs diagnostics. It would only be a guess for someone to tell you what they think is up with it as it could be throttle potentiometer, throttle body, wiring etc. Too many possibilities unfortunately.
