Elephant skin texture

Hey all,

is there such a thing as elephant skin texture, maybe paint or roll on film?

As in the sort of OEM texture you get on wing mirror surrounds, car doors from poverty spec models etc?

I'm wanting to create a blank for the rear wiper but don't want it gloss black / matt black ideally I want it in that plasticy looking texture so it looks standard.

That's a great shout, i've looked at pics and they all seem to be on engine cam covers not palstic. Do you think it'd give that effect?

Yes, that's what they use on the engine covers - crackle finish paint. :]

You mean plastic textured finish?

yup, comes out the same on whatever you stick it on, imagine you'll need a plastic primer though.
