Emergency Pre Bedford Trackday Rebuild

As some of you may or may not know,

With Bedford 2 working days away, My car decideds to do this!

Loss of compression on Cyclinder 4, and oil spraying out at high pressure from the oil breather- The engine is DEAD!

So after a moment of throwing my toys out the pram I set to work!

45k engine won on ebay for £40 is what I will be putting my whole trackday faith into from now on. There is just 1 snag!

She snapped her belt at 120mph on the Motorway.

So the rebuild begins,

I will be updateing this as often as i can. I still need to drive 240mile round trip to fetch a rear beam from Fred and fit that too!

Been to Birmingham to see Fred! Smashing bloke. Pleasure to finally meet you mate!

When I was I Fred's my mate Charles ground in all the valves and rebuilt the cylinder head.

The second I got back, I removed the engine.

Old engine out and stripped of all useful parts.

Arp's installed in new bottom end, and new engine starting to go back together.

Engine is almost ready to go back in. Just doing the cambelt and the auxs.

Just about to start the 3rd can of relentless. That stuff is epic!

I've also decided to swap to my 182 cup pack front anti roll bar to help stiffen up the front end.

Engine is now fully built and in the whole. Next step. Connect everything up and wait for a shops to open to get an oil filter.

Got the relentless shakes now! Progress is defiantly starting to slow down however, it's the radiator and fluids away from being able to start it up and see if this all nighter was worth the effort!
