Emotionally attached to your Clio/car?

I can't see myself getting rid of the Sunflower any time soon. Really grown attached to it. Love the little yellow shed.

Out of the 6 cars i've now owned, the only one that I was properly gutted about seeing drive away was my first sport, the Flamer 172. Still wish that I never sold it.

suprisingly i couldnt of been happier when i sold the RB 182 after nearly a year of owning it, thou that was more because of money reasons and i knew i had to sell it before summer because of uni.
loved it to bits but for some reason im so excited about my new 1.2 dynamique! it was so cheap haha

I just bought my old clio back sold it 6 months sorriest thing i ever did but it came back up for sale and he will sell it back to me for what he paid for it . he has done 1500 miles since he bought it . so i know he aint wrecked it . Hehe so happy got it back .

I was genuinely gutted when the 182 went, it seemed so wrong watching someone else drive MY car away. I really felt upset! I felt similar when the R26 went, it was such a great car. I nearly changed my mind about selling it.

Didn't give a fcuk really when the 370z was sold, I actually felt quite happy knowing the new owner would LOVE it. Haven't really thought about it since, I love the 500 too much. I'm going to be keeping this car for some time.

Mate, can feel your pain. I don't think I can get rid of the 182. Mainly as I've pumped about 3k into recently. That's how much I love it. Will keep it for a good while yet. 4 years + and not bored, not one bit

When the 200 went, I was ripped to bits. Glad I had sunglasses on because I could hide the eyes glazing over.

And when I was at the train station coming back, on the phone to the missus she asked "are you ok". I answered yes. Total Lie.

Never missed my 206, as I upgraded from the 1.4 206 into my Clio 182, so was an upgrade. Missed the interior a little bit as the Clio cabin is a bit of a downgrade from the 206.

Then I haven't missed my 182 moving to my Golf, as again, I feel I have upgraded as my Clio was becoming a bit rattly and a few things were starting to go wrong with it.

Doubt i'll miss the Golf either providing i move onto a better car!

Both previous cars i had for about 2-3 years, this wil be the same.

I can see why people do when they have them for a lot longer!

It's just certain things I miss, like the rawness and feel to the 182, never felt that in any other car the way you do in the Clio. The 182 felt amazing when booting it around a bend and accelerating out.

My 197 went today, swapped it for 182 + cash....had no choice really!

I was sad to see her go, but the only car I really miss is my Saxo - I have never loved any car as much as that - even if it was a Saxo.

My mate was going to buy it off me last month but he couldn't afford it, when he said that to me I breathed a sigh of relief! It made me realise I just can't part with it so I'm currently on the hunt for another car as a daily even though I don't need one, just to keep the mileage down on my Clio.

Can you imagine seeing your mate driving it round, imagine you were walking down the road and he drove past you, how would that make you feel?!

Mine went 240 miles from here, made sure it was far enough away to prevent me seeing it incase of emotion lol!

Im pretty attached to the clio, its a love hate thing.

IF circumstances change which they may well do, and i have to start doing more than about 10miles a week in the clio it will get demoted, but would still be kicking about on my drive.

I had this when I sold my first 182, So I brought a Trophy thinking it would make everything ''ok'', but I still missed my original car, So I sold the trophy and brought another 182, and then after 18 months sold it..

My original car was not as good mechanically as the Trophy or 182 which followed, but its still the only one I would buy back, the others in my eyes just didn't feel the same. My lad even has the number plates on the wall in his bedroom!! Was a BIG mistake selling that car, it sold so quickly I didn't have time to really sit down and think about it.

So if your driving around in BA04NFK and your thinking of selling.. Give me a shout.. :S

Attached doesn't describe how I feel for mine. You know your attached when you don't care what people think of your car, because it's how you want it. As you imagined, all you wanted. And once you get it to your idea of perfect it's very hard to let it go.

I love my cars no matter what I come to own, even when i had the 106 as the first daily, I always parked as far away from the superstore as possible, and the 106 was certainly nothing special but mine. As you may have seen with the 1.2 clio I sold recently, I love cars too much to not look after them.

The vee I totally adore, but I am thinking its a waste her just sitting in the garage. I would find myself alot better off selling the vee & 172 for a 197, but I just cannot do It, I love them !

The only two cars i've missed & still miss is my old Strada Abarth (& sold it back in '94 when i was 22 !) & my 3.0 v6 Courtenay converted mk2 Astra GTE which i owned from '98-'06. Have some good memories of them both & still think about them.

Not sure why but i have no 'connecton' with my ph1 172, i just drive it thinking they're over rated, lol.

I wasn't sad to see my Clio go. I loved it and enjoyed it a lot, but I didn't look in my rear view mirror when driving away in my new shed. Not really missed it since. Sometimes I do wonder where it is though, and how it's being treated.

Maybe you feel that your new car just isn't as much fun? Although I suppose it's perfectly normal to miss something that you put so much effort into. Personally I wouldn't go back. Not a hope. It was a great car, but I wouldn't have upgraded if I didn't want to.

Even when I get my next car I'll be keeping the Trophy. Beside the fact it does what it's designed for better than almost anything else, I just don't want to sell it

Its worth more to me as a car than the cash I could get for it.

Yes I miss mine, although not sure whether that's actually the driving experience rather than the car itself. I thought a diesel for Mon to Fri commuting, MX5 for wk'end blasting would satisfy me. I was wrong.
