Autoglym engine and machine cleaner, lots of towels, a variety of sized brushes.
Take a small section of the engine bay at a time, spray on the AG, agitate with a brush, rinse of using as little water as possible, dry with a towel and move onto the next part.
Dress plastics with AG Vinyl and Rubber, Polish metalwork (aircon pipes etc) with metal polish and the paintwork under there with whatever you use on the other bodywork.
