Engine cover colouring ??

I want to clean my engine bay up and decided I want to paint my engine cover,

Am I ok Using a normal can of monaco blue or is there more too it than that ??

I'm also thinking of polishing the top of my engine up a bit - again it this simply using something like autosol metal polish or am I just way of the mark lol

Any help appreciated

Give it a grey scotch up, degrease it then blue then laquer, should be fine mate
