Engine Cover Spray > Opinions Needed

Quite a few people didnt like the red PAINTED engine cover. Would do you think I could do to it to give it a better look?

Sand it down to plastic again
Spray it with spray can not a paint brush this time
Use a darker red and then a decal? e.g K-Tex Racing?

BLAST FROM THE PAST

2004, my old 1.2 i sprayed it! Sorry for the chav stickers etc.. I was sweet 17 and that s**t was "in" back then!

def use a finer grade of sandpaper, man thats rough strike a match on that!
