Engine dismantled... oops



i dismantled the engine today, to see the damage and to get the head off which i am retaining for my next engine..

so we started te day with the engine on the stand

then i relaised that i had forgot to drain the oil, and this is what started to come out, you know you got problems when you see this!

took the head off complete so i can put it straight on the new b/e

i decided i wanted to see the damged, so i flipped it over, sump off

have a feeling that, if and when my engine gets replaced along with gearbox, it will look something similar! wld u like my engine to have a play with and dismantle see what u find!?! lol

You got skills to remove & strip a car engine down that fast mate.

Will be interesting to see pics of the rebuild on here if poss ?
 
wont be re-building this block, got a new b/e to get on saturday, i just finished stripping the head, so its ready to be skimmed, then need the block decked, then its the long build up process, i hope it will be back together and running in 3 weeks
 
wish i knew how to do things like that, id be stuck trying to drop the lump , let alone strip the block
 
ok, so the car has been completed for a while now but i havnt had the internet, i also have a distinct lack of pics,

i picked this up from hill power, 69k

and thats all i have, the engines in and the car runs fine, an excellent feeling when it fired up!
mot on wednsday and hopefully thats it for a year! then ill be selling it :)
