Engine feels out of balance at 3.5 - 5k RPM

Strange title i know but thats the only way i can really describe the feeling

When im sitting stationery, neutral etc and rev the engine up slowly, once the car gets to around 3.5k rpm it feels almost as if something is out of balance in the engine. There is a notable shake.

Id nearly say it was a misfire if it wasnt at such a specific area of the rev range and there are no sound of misses or pops etc.

Has anyone else noticed this or do i have a problem?

yeah I'd be tempted not to drive that. Check your top mount firstly

Come on man, dont scare the s**t out of me like that......in what way do you mean?

I suspect the mounts are a bit crap, i replaced the upper gearbox mount and will be doing the dogbone shortly, but hadnt planned on changing the upper engine one or lower gearbox one.

Perfect,

Wee bit coarse but i think thats a french trait when im used to hondas revving like its natural. It also has a KTec Stealth adding some buzzes.

i dont notice any of these heavier vibrations when driving

Has the usual flat spot from 2-4.5k then goes again

If its ok when your driving it i wouldnt worry (imo)
