im looking to tweak the running of the 1.2 16v.

any ideas?

Is its a restricted CC motorsport class, or is it a road car?

If its the latter, just sell it and buy one with a bigger engine.

its a road car.

i dont really want to sell and buy a 1*2 yet.

Its a solid car but i want to get it running perfectly and improve it along the way preferably front end.

Iv been told to avoid induction kits as the engine size will not benefit much and it will just increase my fuel usage.

i also get a lot of ticking/clicking when the engines running

Whoever you have been talking to doesnt appear to know what they are on about, an induction kit is not going to ruin your fuel consumption.
Wont make much performance difference either, although might sound a bit nicer.
