Engine just cut out!

Driving to work when all of a sudden the engine cut out and now the car wont start.

It sounds like it is trying to start but just doesnt kick in.

The battery and Stop light have come on and sometimes the oil light stays on?

Any ideas what it could be?

I have left it about an hour, tried again and it started. But the engine management light is on now. The others have gone off?

How much to fix cambelt?

alot if thats what it was and you tried sarting it again.

however since it started its unlikely going to that i think! but i might be wrong.

an engine wont start without a cambelt, theres nothing to move to valves

okay, well it definately started and i drove it home. But once i turned the engine off it wouldnt start again untill i left it half an hour??

tried changing the battery, cleaning the crank sensor, cleaning out trottle body.

ah ok well that deffo rules out the cambelt.

plug your car in see what the error code tells you,that will be why the light is staying on,it needs wiping,hows ya coilpack mate?

Cars been fixed, it was just one of the sensors needed replacing.
