Engine management light flash help!!!

Hi, my engine management light comes on now and then flashing fast what does this mean?????

bad misfire ussualy - i gather it was chugging as it was doing it

Absolutely no chugging at all runs spot on only came on three times in two months but I turned the engine on and off and it dissapeared??????

get it plugged in and get a fault code may just be a sensor
