Engine management problems, please help!!

Hello everyone, my boyfriend (nobblebonce) has sent me on to ask for your help as he cant get to a computer, so im sorry if ive put this thread in the wrong place but i dont really know alot about this site. Lol

Well...he has been having problems with starting his car lately, and today it just completley cut out so he had to call the RAC, the bloke said it was to do with the engine management and it's linked to the emissions or something(if im wrong, excuse me, i know nothing about cars,Lol)

Andy thinks he his covered by warranty, hes trying to find the papers, but if he isnt how much is he looking to pay for it?

yeah its a 1.2 16v mate, were based in the west midlands.

damn, I'm in Portsmouth.

Could be the following.....

Engine wiring loom
Throttle Body
Incorrect management software
faulty sensor (TDC)

The list is rather big with the 1.2's I'm afraid.

If its in warranty it should all be free to get fixed.
