Engine Number/Size

Forgetting the VIN, whereabouts on the engine of my 1.2 RN (1996 model) would i find the engine number/size plate?

I have a funny feeling its not the engine that should be in my car :dapprove:

front of the block beside the dipstick tube.

96 1.2 will be a diet engine of which there is only the 1.2. D7F... is what you will see on the plate.
