Engine oil levels.

Thought this might come in handy as I see lots of threads asking how much oil their car needs.


1.2l - 1.2l 16v : 4.0 litres.
1.4l 16v : 4.9 litres.
1.6l 16v : 4.9 litres.
2.0l 16v : 4.75 litres.
1.5l dCi : 5.0 litres.
1.9l dTi : 5.5 litres.

1.2 3.5 without oil filter chnage 4 with oil filter chnage. 4.65 and 4.8 are the offical numbers though)
1.4 and 1.6 16V 4.25 liters without oil filter 4.75liters with oil filter change

V6 5.5 liters with oil filter change

172 4.75 without oil filter 5.1 with with an oil filter change


1.9 DI (mk2 phase 1) 5 liters without a filter 5.5 with a filter

1.5 dci 4.5 liters without filter 5.0 with change of filter

Max to min on dipstick is between 1 and 2 liters depending on car.

Sorry to say this but no one will ever read this thread they'll just post up there question.

Yeah sorry forgot to say thats with oil filter change too.
