Engine oil on 200RS

  Cupra K1 & Clio 200
Hi Guys/Girls,

Just had my car serviced and I noticed that the oil on my clio was changed, and RN0720 oil was used. (per the clio booklet, RN0700 should be used).

Will this be a problem? I called the garage and they said that it will be ok as its a higher quality oil?!

Many thanks,

Hon

On further research: I believe RN0720 is 5w30 and RN0700 is 5w40?! What affect will this have on the car?

The oil will be less viscous when the car is up to temp. The oil will lose some of its protective properties when you are pushing the car hard. Not sure about in a clio mind!
