engine paint

Want to pain the short motor and cam cover while the engine is out/being re-built

I dont want a matt look but not toooo glossy if that even makes sense?
Also is it best to paint with brush or mask and spray?

Im going for

Red BE
stock alloy head
red cam cover
black sump
silver or blac engine mounts - thoughts please

egg shell colours? not quite matt, still a slight dull shine

Best bet would be to get as much as you can bead blasted, then a few coats of spray paint... Check too see what the temp ratings on the paint are
