Engine rebuild not going as it should

As you said on an earlier message it's possible the cam lobes have spun on the cam causing the valves to be pushed out too far.

I have measured the extension of the valves from the top of the Head and they are measuring 7mm on the exhaust and 6mm on the inlet, by my reaconing they need to be 1.5mm- 2mm other wise they will smash in to the pistons?

Have you got two of the same cam

Hi, No definitely not as engine was removed intact from 182 with dephaser etc fitted, just stripped the head and cleaned then put it all back together.

What's actually wrong with yours?

It was actually Josh that suggested the cam lobes might have spun round, sorry.
