Engine swap now wont idle properly...

  Classic turbo mini
Well my buddy had swapped my engine over for me iv got a 1.6 automatic.

Everything is in and the engine starts now, but it idles at 3500 RPM... if i disconnect the vacuum from the map sensor it will idle at 1500 RPM, but obviosuly this isnt solving the problem and even like that is idling high.

We have both spent all day trying to solve this but we just cant figure it out, there isnt any leaks from the manifolds atall, all the wires seem to be plugged in, etc...

If anyone has any ideas what the problem could be it would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Ill have another good look at it tomorrow, my friend had to swap the throttle body onto the inlet on the new engine, so ill take that off tomorrow and stick a new gasket on it.

Is there no chance it could be the idle control valve?
