Engine Swap Questions

hey all

i have just got my hands on a j reg clio 1.4. the engine is almost knackered and i am considering puttin a new engine in rather than reconditioning it.

i was thinking along the lines of mayb a 1.8 (8v or 16v) clio engine or a r5 gtt engine.

whats involved in doin this. for example will either engine just "drop straight in" or will i need new looms, driveshafts, mountings etc etc

any help would be greatly appreciated

i am assuming you mean the 440 engine. again what is involved. will i need new parts etc etc.

what do you mean be brave. is it a tricky job to do. which one would be easier to fit the volvo or gtt.
