How hard would an engine swap from a 1.2 petrol into a 1.9D be?
iv got two cars one good shell, one good engine, so was wandering if its possible to swap em over to get one decent car out of it!

You can but its a load of work plus need to chnage tanks pumps electrics etc.

i was wandering, where dose the insurance stand on this? if i get the car re-registerd as a 1.2 petrol will it make the insurance go up?

Err the whole insuracne and legal stadning a bit of a nigmare if you change petrol to diesel you need the garage who supplys it to give a recipt and then dDVLA mess about with your V5 registering it as such. Insurance is easy just tell what what you have its a specilast area though most places won't touch you.
