Engine transplants

Iv currently got a 1.2 8 valve mk1, im serioulsy thinking, of putting a bigger engine in, anyone got any suggestions, as to how much and what engine i should get.

Also has anyone done this put a bigger engine in a smaller car, is there any other changes you have to make to the car!? eg brakes

My mates got a Punto with a 2 litre 20 valve turbo engine in it.. also pics would be of a great help

Prolly not worth it, unless its a quite highly modded car anyway eg. bodykit full respray etc etc, plus insurance will sting u big time

havent a clue mate, cost him a hell of a lot of money, it beats subarus and sounds like sumfing from otu of space, hes not really a good mate just my ex next door neighbour, i havent really spoke to him about it,

if you could find out for me, its either that or we do it ourselves, not advisable as we hardly have much knowledge of conversions

im aware of how quick they are, the coupe 20vT is rapid, in a car weighing half of that it will only be quicker

as above, if you cuold find out, it would be appreciated

Buy a cashed valver and just swap everything over, Engine, gearbox, subframe, brakes, everything that makes it a valver put on to yours. cost about 500-700 for a crashed valver or just buy a valver and put your bits on it.
