EOS 400d or Olympus E410?

Hi guys,

Been thinking about buying myself a DSLR for Xmas pressie, and had pretty much decided on the EOS 400d.

However, just seen this offer at Park Cameras for the Olympus E410 and twin lens kit.

Seems to be good value for money, and the extra lens would be very handy. Obviously there must be compromises to offer this so cheaply, but as a newbie to the hobby, would the extra lens be more beneficial than a more expensive camera body and only the kit lens??

run run away from the e410 very limited choice of very expensive lenses


400d or nikon d40/x
can get the 400d for 340 at the mo

E410 is a good camera by all accounts, but you're better off with a 40D for another few bucks. Make buying the lenses easier in the long run.
