Esp on 172 mk2 ?

How can i tell if my 172 mk2 has got esp on it?
there is no traction or cruse control.
is it marked on the plate in code?
will i have to slide it sideways to find out?

there is a button on the right hand side of the steering wheel on the dashboard - low down. Says ESP on it - if it aint there you aint got it

ESP and crusie control was added at about 53 plate although some cars weren't registered till later so some 53 reg 172's don't have cruise.

Cheers Daze/ Edde mines a 52 and has the E.S.P but does'nt have cruise control.

all phase 2 172s have FBW only phase 1s had cable.

Cruise/esp was late 02 models (52plate) onwards.

Thats a sure fire way of finding out wheather or not you have E.S.P, why did'nt i think of that.
