Evaporator clean due soon...?

My 182's just had it's 24K service and the dealer mentioned the above. I assume it's part of the air con system and was wandering if it's an easy DIY job? I've got access to a pit if needed!

Also curious as to where the pollen filter is?

the pollen filter is under the exterior scuttle panel near the wipers.

No idea what the evaporator is.

That word isnt even mentioned in the F4R manual in the Air Conditioning bit at the back, so god knows. I thought that just put something in the gas to smell nice and kill the germs? else it looks like you will have to take the dash out?

i think they have to debug the system and then regas it as necessary...just wondered if this evaporator can be cleaned easily as the aircon works really well still!
