Every now and then I have to go down to Dorset to pick up Flight Helmets from a Hydrodippers. Which means that whilst I’m down there I pop into the Tank Museum at Bovingdon on the way back to get a fry up in the cafe.
The concept of giving you a year long free pass when you pay for one visit really does encourage repeat visits which means you spend more money in the shop and cafes.
Really do love this museum and I would Highly recommend to anyone to visit.

Unlike a lot of other museums they let you get up close and personal with the exhibits. and you are able to really have a good look round the vehicles. There is no barriers so being able to really see the difference In engineering of the Tiger compared to the Sherman Firefly is great.

The Helmand Exhibit is spot on too as for those of us that served in Afghan you can really relate to the way it’s set out and what is being displayed.

For those of us that experienced things like Afghan, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Kosovo and The Falklands. To see things you worked on , used, wore and fired. It makes you appreciate what it must have felt like for the WW2 veterans to see the stuff preserved from WW2. It’s a strange feeling for sure.

Popping back down here today.
Been ill for the week so thought I would treat myself to a visit to look at some Tanks and maybe pick up some merch.
Also get myself a gift code for World of Tanks.

I’ve really made sure I got myself my monies worth out of the annual memberships.
