Eves stunning Focus RS

I absolutely enjoyed every moment of today. Was a pleasure to meet Guy & his father, nice people :approve: So, Guy dropped her off at 8am this morning, finished at about 3pm. The car has been looked after really well, but could do with paint correction as we discussed which will hopefully happen in the spring as I loved working on this beast!

So the process was -

Snow foam mix with btbm
Wheels/tyres cleaned with Imperial (Really liked this, although smelt just like Smartwheels?)
G101 for the arches, nooks & crannies
Washed with Carpro mitt & btbm
Iron X all over, not much to report on there.
Oblitarate lower panels
Clayed with Megs bar & DJ lube
Snow foamed again
Washed
Towel dried
Windows cleaned with 3M
Hand applied Tripple with a mf app x2 Coats as I wanted max coverage
Z6 wipe down
Autofinesse Illusion applied - Love it, gave such a deep glow to the finish
Z8 wipe down
Tyres dressed with Perl
Trim's dressed with Dressel - This worked best on textured plastics imo, perl was far better on the rubbers
Door shuts polished with Tripple

Hopefully Guy will get some Hydro2 to use for his maintenance washes, this stuff is awesome & really does add that bit extra.

lol no probs Daniel. Im working 3 days a week at an Alfa Romeo garage as the valeter & getting to do a few details too so its all good. Using the rest of the time to fit our kitchen & get some detailing work going too.

Thought you preferred them with black bonnet grills?


Why do people wipe down with Z6 after applying a cleaner/glaze? Is there more to Z6 than just a detailing spray or something?

Adds gloss. Hence layering Z2 etc. black bonnet vents should be burnt to death!

z6 is a superb product, adds so much imo

Can you explain the z8/z6 please? As in why do you use it and what they do?

Z6 is a quick detailer with extremely good gloss enhancers, thus why I like to use it between applications. Z8 is a finishing off qd if you like, this is only a final wipe down, im not overly fussed on it tbh, I have 4 bottles of z6 & one z8 which Ive had about 2 years!

Z8 is the grand finale Dan. A show shine product imo, it's like Z6 but has sealant properties and a bit more bling. The Zaino system truly has stood the test of time against the new boys!

Z6 was great when I had it but I never understood application prior to adding a wax, Wondered if it was a better 'base' than a glaze or similar. Always used after washing.
