Exhaust gasket after cat?

Is there a gasket after the cat and before the centre section of the exhaust? If so is it best to change this when changing exhaust?

agree with fred.... dont use exhaust paste either..

just make sure the surface is clean of crap

The gasket on the 172 is rubbish could never get mine sealed. Just used some hightemp silicone in the end and its been fine

use the gasket and....
put some either side...

again make sure its clean

i put mine together loosely then pushed both parts of the exhaust up so it was sitting straight and took the weight off the join, alot of people forget to do this.

i got a new gasket and some gum gum assembly paste. and its been awesome ever since
