Exhaust hanger 182 help please

Hi all help please mine have have started to hang that bit lower - obviously these are attached to some metal brackets on the chassis (torx 40's). i tried to undo this but couldnt seem to shift it :S

i only have a torx bit on a little screw driver - is there a better way of doing this

I put this guide together - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=334696 lets you repair the brackes while the mount is still fitted to the car, works for the 172 & 182

im sure the screws must just unscrew out! :S

The guide i put together actually makes the exhaust sit higher than a new bracket lol.. but if you are going with a shiny new one then just get a socket on it, yes its torque in the middle but should also be socket on the outer edge

you probably can't get enough torque into the screwdriver - use a socket

hey you! just thought it wouldnt be to hard a job tbh!! i gave it a bit of stick with the correct torx bit but didnt want to move!!!

yeah i guess your right didint know you could get torx on a socket set!

anyone know the size of the socket if its a t40 torx head! :approve:?? save me trying lots of sockets lol

Bump - i only had a little go of trying to undo them but they seemed very tight??! people!

they always are, 13mm socket, long extension and go nuts

they dont have any paint on them AR! there not even corroded!! just replacing as the rubber is a bit perished!
