Exhaust Heat Shiled

Firstly I wasn't sure where to put this,

I've got an '04 182 and over the last couple of weeks my Exhaust Heat Shield has really begun to give up on me, It initially just broke clean off around 1 of the washers so I just put a Larger Washer on and Job Done, Now on another corner it has completely snapped off at a whole corner and rattles like hell sounding really s**t,

Is there anything else that could be used instead of the useless Tin Foil Crap that is already on there? I was thinking along the Lines of that Stuff Makavelli has under his Bonnet, Would that work? Or would it be best just to Find another Exhaust Heat Shield as I'm changing the exhaust soon so would be a Good Time to sort the Heat Shield aswell,

My exhaust heat shield is also starting to give up the ghost.

My plan is to get some largish squares of metal as opposed to washers and put them on instead which all being well should hold the thing on for a little while.

ive had to do the washer fix on mine as well, i put some big buggers on it and bent the shield up a bit for some more clearance.
you can get replacement shields but its a bit of a pain to do a full swap over
