exhaust help please

had my car lowered and the exhaust is now knocking on the rear beam.
i know theres loads of threads about this but wanted to ask a few questions bout it.

what happens if i just leave it, will the heat from the exhasut damage anything?

can i fix it myself easily enough?

it probably just needs a new rear hanger, or realigning - neither a big job

the heat won't damage anything
