exhaust loud

iv a 2003 cup with the original exhaust is loud and cackley in first second and third if i floor it but quiet in fourth & fifth if igo gently from 1st 2nd 3rd etc its quiet and sounds normal,

does this just sound like a hole in the exhaust ? :S

even though i think it sounds nice i want to fix it lol

does sound as though you've a leak somewhere. if you're able to have a look underneath it yourself, it might show up as black sooty deposits around the area of the leak. otherwise, just ask someone to blip the throttle whilst you decide whereabouts it's coming from. you might also be able to feel it blowing but be extremely careful as it's easy to burn yourself whilst checking like this.

Sounds like a hole mate

The standard exhaust on my cup was very quiet compared to my SS Cat Back

My original one fell off a couple of months ago, lol

lol it Jacko it was blowing a little when we had the last ne meet but its gone mad loud tonight for some reason if i floor it it sounds like a rally car but if im gentle ifs quiet as a mouse lol,

i cannot afford a new exhaust untill after crimbo due to the masses im buying for, lol i'll see if i can find the hole and pop a exhaust bandage on for the time being if i can . if not it will have to stay like it for a month wont do the car any harm will it ?

I had to do a patch up on mine so i could drive it to the garage to get the new exhaust fitted it as it completely snapped off at the back! lol

My dad just welded it up then we put a bandage on it as well and it was fine for a good few days

yeh i think so cash depending but i dont see why not but depends oh how much the exsaust will cost to fix in the newyear lol

hopefully i'll have a look at it tomorrow i'll jack it up and look and see if i can see anything im just praying its not the manifold or cat, but with it being quiet when im easy on it it sounds like a hole in the centre box tho as i can hear it under my seat when i floor it i think it sounds nice just hope it dont fall off or something lol

Centre section and cat on mine were fine it was just the backbox that snapped off but i got the centre section replaced as well before that went
