Exhaust problem

My back box is dropping to bits,i went to a renault breakers and they told me i could not get the back box off without dropping the rear axle,,or i could cut it off and buy a bracket of some sort,which would allow me to join another one to my existing center pipe,,what should i do,,do renault make these bracket things,,if so how much are they????My car is a clio 1.2 RN.

to get the rear box out just have to lightly beat it out mate it will come.when use to work at ATS was a tight fit,new ones come in two pieces can get one from auto factors bout £35

them backboxes are a fine art.once you done a few though you get the knack of it.why buy a scrappy exhaust new ones are pretty cheap.
