Exhaust problems

Hi hope someone can help

Ive just bought a 05 182, the exhaust sounds a bit tinny, i know they are meant to be raspy but it just doesnt sound right at all, if i rev to 2250rpm then let it drop it makes a little rattle at about 1950rpm, is this my exhaust loose or is there any common faults with the exhausts

Does it sound like it's coming from around the hand brake?

Maybe one of the heat shields is touching the exhaust?

Could be brackets at the rear, the rubber could be perished??

Sounds like its right by the handbrake and round there so yes it could be the heat shield, Is that a take out job or will it need new bolts

and okay the exhaust seems to be hanging okay and not wobbling but i think the best bet is to get it up in the air

I had a nassssty rattle and when i had the exhaust changed over the other day i asked the mecahnic to see, the headshield around the silencer was loose, he turned one bolt about half a turn and the rattle has gone, get under the car and check all the bolts are tight.

Yes thats what i reckon is best idea, Just get underneath, Would anyone recommend a aftermarket backboxes or catback?

Could be the centre section of the exhaust pipe FUBAR.
