Exhaust Query.

Driving around yesterday my car developed a loud noise. Got it home and checked it out under neath and this is what ive found.

Now it looks like the bolt has just come loose and thats why the manifold had split from the CAT. It does look awfully rusty though. Does anyone think i could just bolt it back together or do i have to start replacing parts? Manifolds are expensive!!

Need a cat to manifold kit. About £25 I think

Does the bolt with the spring on it look intact. Could just be a new fitting kit needed. If so, get one from Renault...not a motor factors.

Cheers. Which bits does it replace? is it from Renault? or local motorspares?

The cat manifold join is fairly prone to going, that's what mine looked like when it went. Renault only, others tend to leak apparently.

Does the bolt with the spring on it look intact.

I presume there is a bit missing from the other side that holds it on when the bolt is through?

Yeah, £23 iirc from Wests Renault trader on here.

Yep. The ones from Motor Factors are notoriously poor and you will only end up replacing it. As said...its about £25 from Renault themselves.
