exhaust time....

Car  BMW F31
need some help and advice on what to get for my car.

im thinking either cat back or just backbox, which will see the better increase? or both the same?

i dont want a stupidly loud exhaust just one with a nice note when revved high. will doing just the backbox see anymore gains?

do any of you have pics of yours to help me decide?

i was thinking maybe supersprint, but i cant decide if i want a stealth exhaust or a small pipe??

Backbox wont make any differance to performance its just for sound and looks , if you want performance youll need a full system with decat.

ok thats cool, im not looking at spending loads on it, just want a nice note.

what do you think of the one above? i had my old one cut into the bumper but the weight of the box made it sag down, does anyone know how to get around this? dont want my next one doing the same.

i paid 280 for my custom stealth.. 70 for ma de-cat and he fitted it for £20 at the same time as doing my custom.

stealth is the way forward!

Nick, c.£300 for a stealth cat-back from Powerflow. Steve swears by Powerflow. Possibly worth a look, that's what I was going to have before I realised I may have to sell my car.

mines has a powerflow backbox... the rest is just tubular work buy the guy that fitted it! :)

dont want to spend that sort of money when i may be selling up next year mate. just want something that sounds and looks nice.

i like stealth but not for the money it costs lol.

i think the sebring box from k-tec will look pretty good tbh, plus mark is fitting it for me so i'll get it just how i want it ;)

Well if you want a rumble, then my PECO box was around 120 quid I think. It's a bit big and very jap, so would avoid that, but you can get 3" Peco round boxes that sound just as nice. Don't expect any performance gains though.

according to mark the sebring will sound good, dont like peco tbh reminds me of nova's lol. are you getting your powerflow fitted dude or not?

Arent those sebring boxes on ktec made for renault as in a upgrade you can have when you buy the car from renault.

i have one of those Renault/Sebring ones which i have decided not to fit as i want to keep the stealth look.

Yours for £70 inc p&p

p.s. its never been fitted, boxed with instructions.

Moving to London, so wont be able to afford to pay for the running costs and such like. Also you don't really need a car in the centre of London, could do with the money for moving into a flat.

pooh, can anyone relay that if they have one fitted :)

bmh, not arguing with you etc but why does it look crap fitted, size/shape??

I got a powerflow backbox from topgear today, i ask for it not to be too loud and they got it just right, has a lovely burbly noise when you take ya foot of the throttle! perfect shape for clios.
will put pic up tomoz cos it too wet today.
