Exhaust & Winter protection advice

Just want a bit of advice on two things...

What can I do/product to use to stop grit/tar etc to get stuck on the exhaust? Starting to get quite a bit on the back box now. What's the best way to clean it and then to protect it?

Also, regarding winter protection, is there anything that should be done before winter kicks in to protect the paint etc?

Exhaust wise, aside from polishing, not a lot you can do. Heat and salt will always tarnish the metal, but aslong as it's stainless, it aint going anywhere.

Just stick a few layers of wax on the paint and leave.

Autosol metal polish. You can buy metal sealants and things, but not a lot of point. It's under the car, and unless you're trying to impress road kill, no one will care

As said autosol will bring it up like new!! As for winter protection just try and give it a good wax and seal and wash when you can nothing you can do bar put it in the garage for a few months!!

The wax that is. Use a polish to remove the tarnishing. Autosol is probably the best out there. Lasts its worth. Dont let it dry on though, you wont get it off again. I only polish my tips for the sake of easy cleaning every wash. Dont do it more than every 3-4 months.
