Exhaust wrap

Car  A special one.
Ill be fitting the exhaust manifold from a 182 on to my PH1 among other engine mods.

Is it worth me wrapping the manifold before i fit it or is it a waste of money?

Cheers Scott.

I did, only because the exhaust manifold runs right next to the brake lines. I couldn't tell you whether it made a difference as I hadn't driven it on the track before I wrapped the exhaust. But, every little helps!

If you do then make sure you seal it properly with an oil resitance heat suitable paint, or it can be like a wick and collect oil over the years and catch fire.

Cheers I was just thinking of trying to stop heat soak into the engine bay.
As the exhaust manifold sits under the in let I thought it might help keep it cooler.
