Exhuast knocking!!

  None
ive had a Scorpion exhaust fitted to my mk1 and it keeps knocking at the back. Ive took it back to the garage to get the brackets adjusted but it still knocks!! Does anyone know a way to fix this. Ive heard I might be able to stick some heat resitant foam stuff between the exhuast and the part its knocking against. If this is true, what/where can I get it from??

The garage might have fitted it with the wrong rubber mounts causing it to swing and knock against your underbody. Get under there yourself and move the exhaust, try to replicate the noise. Thicker rubber brackets should help it.

Just get the garage to make the mounts before and after the torsion bar as high as possible that way it should give you the max clearance over the torsion bar.
Also check its not getting caught on any of the heatshields.

Its not hitting the torsion bar/rear axel it seems to be moving to the side near the rear pass wheel and hitting the metal a little bit that surrounds where the exhaust sits in

If thats the case may find you need to twist the exhaust at the join to bring it over abit.
Or have a look at the rubber just before the torsion bar, there should be 2, one to hold it and one to stop it moving from side to side.
