External HDD dying - take a copy/get data?

Hey, know we've got some people on here who are good with this stuff...

My ExHDD is slowly dying, it's struggling to index the files on it, and taking files off it is extremely slow with stops and starts.

Was hoping there was some kind of software that could either take a snapshot/copy of what's on there, or can take everything on there an put it somewhere else? Maybe something that avoids bad sectors, or can clean up bad sectors etc...

Thanks.

if there normal files, just copy them straight to another drive that working, if its programs or something specific (bootable drive), loads of software that an copy drive to drive, or copy drive to image and then back
