Extra Ducting

Anyone know where I can get an extra length of pipe for my viper? I've read somewhere I'm going to need 1.5m to mount the intake in the lower front grille. Also has anyone got a guide on mounting the intake in the grille? I.e. Pipe route etc....

And does the piper sound as good fed like this as it does when left open?

I've got an air feed to the lower grill, and i dont think my pipe is that long, so that should be plenty for what you need.

I think the pipe used is brake ducting, and its reinforced to keep it open. You will also need the bell mouth, and two large jubilee clips.

The route i took was to take out all the standard air ducting, and run the pipe down behind the light, going through where the standard stuff goes, around the rad at the bottom, to the grill at the front.

You have to cut part of the grill off the back too, so you can get the pipe to the front.

I can sort you out very strong ducting, in 60,70, 80mm widths, in 1 mtr lengths

Works out aboyt £20 a length + P&P

Any motorsport suppliers sell teh single and twin walled stuff, twin walled is VERY good but its not cheap.

Tweeks do it along with the likes of merlin motorsport(based as castle combe circuit), and Burton power etc

If your talking about the cold air feed pipe (the donkey dick) its a 100mm on the 172 Viper kit or should be!

andy . if u ask politely, speak to piper cross, explaining that the length they provide isnt big enough for yer car, i sent em a email and they sent me 2 pieces of pipe , which i then screwed together to make one long pipe , works a treat.
