i got my valver back on friday night, iafter the enging died about 6 weeks ago,

i went for a drive yesterday afternoon to check all is ok,

when this old twa*t in a corsa decided to cut me up on a dual carriage way ! he basically decided to pull right out in front of me by cutting the lane, he didnt look or indicate, he just pulled out !

the result was i did an emergency stop & swerved a bit (the was no room now, as he was 1/2 in my lane) and i hit the kerb, the result one kerbed alloy !

it was soo close tho, i was lucky to stop when i did otherwise he would have cleaned the drivers side of the car out & prob took me with it .

while i was looking at the damage he went back the other way & was lookin at me, the time i turned round after him, he had gone

Number plate ?

I had someone do this to me the other day too, totally oblivious to the fact I was there ! There was no kerb for me to hit tho otherwise I would have been in the same boat as you. Sorry to hear that.

i wouldnt have got out to look, and would have followed him and made him pay for the damage

Lost count of the number of emergency stops ive had to do cus of old gits not looking, or looking and not seeing...and ive only been driving just over a year

i remember when i give chase 2 some lads in a 1.1 festa that attempted to steal my wheels! they were crazyer than me, kept going through red lights police also told us to stop chasing them!!! (bad idea)..

i reccomend chasing ppl though is very fun !!!

sorry to hear bout the damage mate....

old gits. People should be made to retake their test every couple of years or something when they get old. They can be a serious hazzard. But you never see cops pulling THEM over for a routine check.

Many moons ago i had a brand new Ax Gt500 which was my pride and joy and as i was driving down a main road some old dear decided to pull out infront of me.I slammed on and skidded and bounced over two small traffic islands finally hitting the side of her car

She had no idea until i hit her then had the cheek to accuse me of speeding, luckily i had two witnesses who both made statements saying she pulled out right infront of me giving me no chance and my speed appeared normal.

I remember at the time almost crying when i got out and saw two alloys and tyres smashed in,front end damage and side damage,in her statement she said i wheelspinned away laughing !!! I had two damaged wheels and tyres FFS !!!

I kept my calm taking into account her age and that night when i rang her up to get her insurance details she slammed the phone down on me...twice !!!

To cut a long story short i went straight to a solicitor first thing and got it all sorted out including a small payment for whiplash injuries.

Some of these old people just dont care and are ruthless,i agree that they should have to undergo a test...they are a danger !

I agree old people are hazards they cause half of the accidents on the road its unbelievable and then they go on about us young drivers. I also think they should be made to take there test again because half of them dont have a clue what they are doing!!!

Sorry to hear about your car though hope everything is ok. :)

I had a similar thing, a truck pulled out when I was half way passed him, I anchored on and managed to avoid him but then a stone came off the back of the truck and gave me a nasty deep stone chip on my bonnet

rock on this new idea for this reactions test computer game coming to police soon...i hope! we will all sail through it and goodbye old get drivers who cant drive!!
