F7R meets F7P..

What did u use!? a drill!!!??

Apart form that, looking nice, you have very clean cam bearings too.......i have a lip on a now scrap head that will rip a cam to shreads

nice! so you widened the intake port on the megane head???

what did you do about distributor arm machining????

I use a tool caled "dremmel" wery fast and light. Think a drill will be a bit slow and hard...:p

I am using the Clio head and cams. Was thinking about using the megane cams, but it looked like the cliocams have more lift?

Using a megane head will have many problems. The didtributor will be easy to fix, but you will have to use the megane inntake. And then you cant use the clio "airmixer" (dont know the english name...)

AND the inntake ports are so much smaler on the megane, so the 2mm extra on the inntakevalves dosent justify it...

Dremmel.......the head specialists worst enemy, you should see some of the head i get sent after people rip them up with dremels, but looks like you didnt screw it up, which is good.

air mixer? inlet amnifiold, injectors, air filter, throttle body?

I only made the ports smooth, not bigger.. I am not an idiot. ;)

Throttle body!!! Bingo!! Thanks!

no worries, looking good!!!

I will have to come over to the ring some day, but for now, i have to go......

nice work though!!

bye

but am i right in saying neither are as good as the willy F7R head?? (in terms of intake valve size)???

that being the case what power will this F7R/P hybrid make compared to the conventional willy F7R????

Yes the willy has 2mm lager intake valves. Is till think the power will be around the willy.. I have a decat, clio diesel middle pipe (no silenser) And supersprint rear, open filter. The problem is to get the stupid Siemens ECU to give it more fuel. Thinking of converting to Programable ECU next summer. Dont trust the chips...

Thanks for the support BenR!

is it me or does the f7r run machined pistons to lower the comrpression ratio? on the f7p the piston tops r flat, on the 2litre they r dished slighty

The valve area doent come into play yet as neither head is even providing near its max potential, when you get to 200bhp then you can worry about it.

I had to pay around 1000£ for a complete megane engine. so if enyone needs a megane head... ;) I found only one engine for sale in Scandinavia.
