hi guys,
my wife has got a 2002 172 clio cup, its done 60k
we have just had it serviced by a mobile mechanic who we have used before and he has told us that there is a power steering leak from the pressure switch and that the rear shocks are leaking.
he has quoted 124 plus vat t do the power steering pressure switch and 192 plus vat to do the rear shocks.
first off does this sound about right?
secondly, are either of these a common problem? and are there cheaper ways of fixing them? i ave a feeling that we had the pressure switch fiddled with efore because it was leaking but cant really remember, is there way i can re seal it?
i assume the shocks are expensive from renault so is there a better place to buy them.
the car is going to be sold within the next year to make way for a bigger car so i dont want to go spending loads of money unless i have to.
